How Does This Calculator Work?
This calculator determines the required expansion vessel size for a heating system
based on:
- Radiator water content - calculated from radiator type, height, and length
- Heat output - based on Henrad radiator specifications at 75/55°C
- System temperatures - flow and return temperatures determine water expansion
- Static height - height difference affects pre-charge pressure
The calculator uses the EN 12828 standard formulas for sizing expansion vessels in
closed heating systems.
